Why we chose laminate flooring
So, we finally moved into our new house! Knowing we wanted to replace all the carpet throughout the entire house we began looking at all kinds of flooring as soon as our offer was accepted! Talk about exhausting! Trying to narrow it down between all the brands and laminate vs vinyl vs engineered! We finally figured out what we wanted when disaster struck at our new house! Our basement flooded! We decided on Mannington’s Woodland Maple Laminate! But, we will have to wait on ordering it until we put the flooring in our basement!
So, now we had to start over on picking out flooring. We initially settled on Mannington’s Luxury Vinyl Plank in the Napa Barrel because we loved the rough cut style and it would look really good in the basement! But due to tariffs on imports and inflation, the price of Vinyl was nearly double that of Laminate.
So we began really looking into Mannington’s Laminate Restoration line and we kept coming back to their Woodland Maple. I think we randomly selected 3 different times while we did love the style it was going to be too close to the furniture we currently have down there.
We finally picked out the styles we both liked and I put up a poll on my Instagram to help us determine which one! My style won convincingly!
Chance picked out the Blacksmith Oak Rust and I picked out the French Oak Nutmeg!
